Long time ago, I searched for a software for my first Forum and so I found SMF. The functions of this forum corresponded almost exactly what I needed. However, I missed something .. something like a CMS, but easier.

As SMF released the first 2.0 version, I started a new Portalsoftware (codename PEXT) with the criteria small, fast, modular, expandable and written with a modern semantic (PHP-OOP).

While I worked on the project, I found a partner they was really impressed on my ideas and so we searched for a name. The Portal Management Extension PortaMx was born and we set up the PortaMx corporation. On August 2008 we started with the first official release and on October 2008 the version 0.947 was approved by SMF.

In the short time in wich PortaMx is available, we recognize that we are on the right way. For the future, we have many ideas what we implements in PortaMx and we hope that this will be honored by the user.

The board you use for Boardnews MUST readable for Guests, that is a SMF restriction and have nothing to do with PortaMx.

This seems not be a variable question but a MySQL error, the field is userpicture from smf_pmxblog_manager table.

That's true on MySql > 5.1.xx, I don't see that bacause I use 5.0.24 ..

Simple reason for this error .. drop the column 'userpicture' from the table pmxblog_manager.
It's a relict from very old version und in 0.952 not more used ::)

That value is't present, only in the Stats.php they called on action=stats and that need a lot of db queries.
