New Systemblock CBT Navigator
« on: 02.11.08, 23:32:51 »
I have created a new Systemblock, named as "cbt_navigator" (Categorie-Board-Topic Navigator).
On principle it do the same as recent Topics, but more elegance  ;)

In full collapsed state you see only all Categories and Boards in the order as defined in Boardsetting. Childboards are placed UNDER the parentboard and have a small indent dependent on the childlevel.
All Boards have a upshrink image and if you click on this, the board is expanded and you see the last "n" Topics in the board. You can collapse or expand ALL boards with one click on "Expand" or "Collapse".

Have a Topic new Posts, a red dot is added at the end of the Board, so you see in collpsed state if a board have new posts. On first visit the site, all Boads with new topics are expanded automatically. After it, the collapse/expand state stay in position. On expanded state each new post have also a red dot an the end of topic subject.

If you click on Categorie, the Boardindex is shown, with the selecte categorie at top. If you click on a Board, the Messageindex for this board is shown.

Tooltips:
If you move the mouse on a categorie a tooltip like "Categorie: name" is shown, if you move the mouse on a Board a tooltip "Board: name" is shown. If you move the mouse over a Topic, the tooltip "Topic: Subject by Membername, TimeToCreate" is shown.

Admin settings:
  • Boards where you show in the Navigator
  • Number of Topics on each Board
  • Lenght of line before shorten (0) for no shorten
  • Expand ALL boards on init
  • Expand boards with new Post on init

w00t! I like the way you think. Damned nice feature. When can we get our hands on it. ;D
Using Internet Explorer 6 on the internet is like urinating in a public swimming pool.
It's rude, there's no excuse for it, and anyone who does it should be ashamed of themselves.
