The PortaMx "Promote" function you can enable on Admin - PortaMx Settings - Manager Settings.
If you have enabled this feature, you see below each message "Promote Message" link.
If the message already Promoted, the link show as "Clear Promote".
Now you can create a new Frontpage block "Promoted Posts" in the Blocks Manager ....
