Hi,
I want to share with my old former schoolclass some
pictures and some postings.
How could I password protect these postings and pictures
the easiest way ?

Well, I could create a new Membergroup and then
register myself all the old 50 friends myself and send them
their passwords to login and have a board, that only they could see...
But for 50 users it is pretty anoying doing it all manully.

I rather want to have ONE password for ALL users,
as these people only want to look at the pictures and postings and will not post anything
 themself..

So what is the easiest and  the best way to do it ?
Should I use
Single-Pages via PortaMX and just password protect the pictures
which will be uploaded into a subdirectory and then I can
password protect the subdirectory via .htpasswd ?

So what would be the quickest and easiest setup to
email about 50 people the SAME password and they will
have access to a special area on the forum/portal,
which they can only see, if they use this password
and other members and guest could not see this
area without the password.

Many thanks.

Regards, Stefan.

...
Create a member group.
Create a board with special group permissions.
Let them register the normal way.
Push them into the special user group.

That is easy and not much to do

Well, no,
it was too much hassle.

I have done it this way, I create a new subfolder and
used the Editor of Highslide to
do the JPEG Slideshow and uploaded this via FTP to
the new subfolder and password protected via .htpasswd
and .htaccess the directory.
Then I emailed the password to all the recipients.
